Weber State University Wildcats
The University of Utah took the brunt of the news, while Oregon State announced Tuesday morning that it would suspend activities in men's basketball until contact is made with former Utah head coach Mike D'Antoni. The game, which was to be broadcast by ESPNU, was postponed after that break, and the league is working with both programs to find a mutually agreeable date for rescheduling the game.
Greg Sundberg has alerted the Oregon State Athletic Commission and the University of Oregon Board of Directors to the action. This action was initiated by the Oregon State Athletic Department, the U of U Athletic Director, and Gregg has brought this to our attention and that of our athletic department.
A booster bus to Missoula and Ogden will be organized to depart Friday morning and return the next day. The booster bus will return to Oregon State with the rest of the team at 10: 30 a.m. on Saturday morning and will organize a booster bus from Missoulsa to Ogden to organize the following day at noon.
Coach Mac won overall 6-5 and 4-3 in the conference play and was named DPOY Assistant Coach of the Year in the Mountain West Conference. Hauck remains Weber State's coach with a 5-4 record overall, 3-2 in the Pac-12 group. The team colors are purple and white, with black being used as a range of colors, and the mascot is the Waldo Wildcat.
Weber State's softball team has appeared in four of the last five seasons in the NCAA tournament, with a record of 11-6 overall and 3-2 in conference play. The women's team won the NCAA tournament for the first time in school history in 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014.
Weber defeated third-seeded Michigan State in 1995, beat third-seeded North Carolina in '99 and WSU won two straight after falling to Montana, beating rival Idaho State 38-10 at home. Montana leads the all-time series against Weber State and has an 18-8 lead in Ogden games. The Wildcats go into the game with an 11-6 record overall and 3-2 in the conference.
The Wildcats have lost just once in their last six games, including a 24-20 loss to Idaho State in the first round of the NCAA tournament.
For what it's worth, Weber State had a game scheduled for January 21 before it was canceled because of a positive test against Eastern Washington. For now, Oregon State won't travel to Utah, but they managed to play Saturday against Cal and then play Monday against the Cardinal for a noon start. Dixie State, coached by former Utah State coach Mike Leach, had nothing planned until last week, when they played two home games against Idaho State and Utah Valley State.
Nothing was immediately clear early Tuesday afternoon, but it's the second time the Pac-12 has produced a league rival for the Utes this week. For Utah, this is the first case where a game or game has been postponed, canceled, or postponed due to COVID-19, or has been infected by the virus. The Beavers postponed their home game against USC on December 20 because of the testing setup and contact search. If they are postponed, though, they have three Pac-12 games remaining, against Arizona State, Oregon State and Washington, to make up for that.
The Salt Lake Tribune reported that the positive test that cost Utah the trip to Tempe turned out to be false positive.

Olson isn't the only Grizzly to build tackles at a furious pace - he needs just 11 tackles to become the all-time tackles leader at UM, surpassing the school record for most tackles by a junior in a season. Olson has been linked to Kroy Biermann (220) for two years and he needs just 12 tackles this season to break the mark set by JC Sherrett (220) in his junior year at Oregon State in 2010.
Montana has scored 504 points so far this season and needs just 34 more to reach the highest score in school history. While the offense needs some time to move the chains to break the record of 345 this year, Montana's offensive coordinator and offensive line is on track to set a school record for most points in a season by a Grizzly offensive (504) and move into the top 10 all-time - time for points by an offense.
Dante Olson increased his total for the loss to the Lions to 165 since last week. Montana's offensive and defensive lines have together accounted for 42 percent of total losses this year.
